Silicone prototype is an important prototype material. Silicone products are required in many products. What are the precautions for the processing of silica gel prototype? Now, Jinan Prototype Factory will introduce to you.

1. There are many bubbles in the silica gel of the mold

This situation should be dealt with according to the conditions. If there is a vacuum pump, the silica gel and the curing agent should be stirred evenly before vacuumizing. If there is no vacuum machine, the addition of curing agent can be appropriately reduced for treatment. For example, the ratio of original silica gel to curing agent is 4%, which can now be changed to 1% - 2%. In this way, the silicon gel bonding time of the mold in the early stage will be slow, and the air in the mold will be slowly discharged to reduce bubbles.

2. Silicone adhesive

One reason for this is that the mold (product model) was not properly treated in the early stage, so the mold must be treated before opening the mold. If the surface of the mold is rough and dry or the mold is very complex, it must be carefully polished, smooth and cleaned. Then evenly brush the release agent. Common mold release agents include Vaseline, detergent, liquid paraffin, etc. In actual operation, different release agents can be applied according to the material of the mold. Second, the curing agent will be poured into the mold frame if it is not stirred evenly, and it will be dried one by one during demoulding.

3. Silicone mold product deformation

This should be handled separately according to the size of the product. In principle, the size of the product is proportional to the hardness of the silica gel used. For small products or very fine products, very soft silica gel can be used to open the mold. The hardness is generally 10-20 degrees, which will facilitate demoulding and will not damage the grain of fine products.

For large products, such as products larger than 50 cm, silicone with a hardness of 40-50 must be used to open the mold. This will not deform.

For large and fine products, silica gel with a hardness of about 30 degrees can be used to open the mold (the method is to brush a layer of silica gel, a layer of glass fiber cloth, and then a layer of silica gel). Plaster and glass fiber reinforced plastic (i.e. unsaturated resin+glass fiber cloth) can be used outside to make the outer film to protect the products from deformation.
